Jayme found her spark to try her hand at climbing in 2019 after seeing the infamous documentary “Free Solo” featuring Alex Honnold. Beginning with a belay class at cleveland rock gym, Jayme quickly picked up the sport and joined our gym during the Transcend days, hooked ever since. Jayme and her husband Jeff also hold the honor for being our gym’s first marital couple, having met here in the climbing gym! She began working with the Ascend team shortly after their acquisition of the gym and has been working with us on and off ever since.

Aside from being an awesome climber and person Jayme also has an extensive higher education background, having graduated from Youngstown State in 2017 with a Bachelor's in Dietetics and is currently studying for her Master of Public Health degree which through Kent State, which she hopes to complete in 2025. Jayme also enjoys reading, mountain biking and hiking with her 3 dogs!
